Asia & Oceania Society For Comparative Endocrinology (AOSCE)

Abstract deadline extended
The deadline for submission of abstracts and for earlybird registration has been extended to the final deadline of 30 November.  Delegates will be informed of acceptance of their abstracts shortly after this deadline.

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee I am pleased to invite you to join us for the Sixth Intercongress Symposium of the Asia and Oceania Society for Comparative Endocrinology (AOSCE). The Symposium will be held at Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand from 19 to 22 January 2010.

The AOSCE meets every two years, with the meetings providing opportunities to share our science, to talk with colleagues and to make new friends. Our Society has members from throughout Asia and Oceania, and our meetings are wonderful occasions in which we enjoy sharing our varied cultures as well as hearing about science. I have been privileged to attend AOSCE meetings, to visit colleagues and to enjoy hospitality and friendship throughout our region, and am pleased now to be able to offer the chance for everyone interested in comparative endocrinology in Asia and Oceania to come to visit us here in New Zealand.

The theme for our conference will be "Comparative endocrinology into the future in Asia and Oceania". We would like to encourage younger endocrinologists to attend the meeting and to share the excitement of meeting other endocrinologists and seeing how much we can contribute to our science of comparative endocrinology.

The conference will be held in January, which is summer in New Zealand. The scientific sessions will be on the Turitea campus of Massey University which is just outside our small city of Palmerston North. We are planning an excursion to a wildlife centre and to an area of vineyards in the nearby Wairarapa region for the last day of the conference, and you will of course be able to take the chance to enjoy other places in New Zealand during your visit.
